The centre in Mchinji is a special centre, because it's one of the few larger centres that are not located in a secondary school. It is managed by volunteers from the NICE Mchinji youth club, who focuses on civic education, computers, and entrepreneurship.

The building is supplied by the Mchinji District Council.
